Opening Reception and gallery talk

Photoworks is proud to present Seeing in B&W, its 2026 Juried Exhibition, illustrating the purity of vision and composition of an image, where color is completely unnecessary. The exhibition will be on view from June 6 through July 12, 2026, at Photoworks in Glen Echo Park.

Juried by photographer Richard Batch, Seeing in B&W brings together a group of local photographers whose work has been recognized by a national photography magazine. Richard Batch started his career as a photojournalist, working for a daily newspaper and a magazine. He has taught at Photoworks for over ten years and now presents photographs where color is a featured element.  More information about his work can be found at richardbatch.com

An Opening Reception and Gallery Talk will take place on Saturday, June 6, from 4–6 PM, offering visitors an opportunity to meet participating artists and hear insights about the work on view.

Featured Artists include:

 

Craig Nedrow, Michael Goulding, Leslie McGregor-Landerkin, Christine Franklin, Vincent Smith, Sherry Gray, Frank Aquino, Tom Sliter, Alan Simmons, Carl de Moor, Prescott Lassman, William Dusterwald and Richard Batch.
