About the Course
Lighting guru Frank Van Riper will help artists photograph artwork in different settings and with easy-to-use lighting to show it off at its best: for exhibitions, catalogs or grant applications. This is something every artist should know, and Frank will demystify it all in a simpatico setting. Instructor supplies all the lighting. Knowledge of basic camera settings required. Minimum age 18.
The photos of your work that you submit for publication, exhibitions and grants must show off you and your work at its best. Anything less and you are hurting yourself unnecessarily. During his three-week, Saturday morning short course, Frank will help you use small, easy to master lighting to achieve amazing results.

"I teach the way I cook: hands-on. The manual will teach you the basics, but I am there to help you get the most out of your camera by showing you how it’s done. Then (here’s where the magic happens) you take control of your camera, newly confident, and make photos you never thought possible."
