Photoworks 2026 Juried Call for Entries
Photoworks is proud to announce our 2026 Juried Call for Entries for “AWAKENING”, a celebration of Spring and renewal.

Juror: Sarah Hood Salomon
Sarah Hood Salomon is a fine art Photographer whose passion for trees drives her work to explore the emotional and environmental aspects of the world around her. Her award-winning images and sculptures have been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows. She received her Master’s degree in photography and is a photography judge, curator, educator and author. Exhibit Details:
Exhibit dates: April 25 - May 31, 2026
Submissions Deadline: March 23, 2026
Notification of acceptance: April 6
Delivery of Work: by Wednesday, April 22.
Reception and gallery talk: Saturday, April 25, 4-6pm
Submission Guidelines
Submit up to 5 high quality images, no larger than 1,500 pixels wide, saved as a .jpeg Photoshop Quality 8 file, no larger than 5 MB each.

Entry Fee: $40 (for up to 5 images).
Once payment is received and reviewed, you will receive an email to a submissions form for the exhibition.

Artist Responsibility

Work must be professionally presented and ready to hang.

Provide labels, artist statement, bio and price list for exhibition wall and handout materials.

Participate in the Opening Reception and Gallery talk.

Exhibiting artists will be expected to attend the gallery at least once during the exhibition, (Saturdays, 12 -4pm) to engage visitors in informal conversation about their work.
Photoworks Responsibility:

Professional hanging of the exhibition.

Exhibition signage.

Publicity to include:​

Email announcements to Photoworks ’mailing list and to artist guest list.

Listing on the Photoworks website, Facebook and GEPPAC events calendar.

A press release distributed to media outlets in the Washington, DC area.

Sales: Artist receives 60% commission of any sale and Photoworks will receive 40%.
