Photoworks is proud to present AWAKENING, its 2026 Juried Exhibition, a vibrant exploration of spring, renewal, and transformation through contemporary photography. The exhibition will be on view from April 25 through May 31, 2026, at Photoworks in Glen Echo Park.

An Opening Reception and Gallery Talk will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 4–6 PM, offering visitors an opportunity to meet participating artists and hear insights about the work on view.

Juried by acclaimed fine art photographer Sarah Hood Salomon, AWAKENING brings together a diverse group of artists whose work reflects themes of growth, reemergence, and emotional connection to the natural and human experience. Salomon, known for her evocative work centered on trees and the environment, is an award-winning artist, curator, educator, and author.
