About the Event:

Lynn Alleva Lilley's artist talk presents her creative practice in the context of an ongoing body of work tentatively titled "Estuaries and Stars" which will become her next photobook. The images are being made mostly at low tide on the bay side of The Point in Cape Henlopen State Park, DE where the bay meets the ocean. Curiosity and mystery guide us as we explore underwater and emerge onto a strangely beautiful, unfamiliar and disorienting shore.  Life and death mingle in the tide pools while wind creates surface wave patterns and cloud movement in the starry night sky. Water, air and wind together hold us and allow us to breathe as feelings of loss and "after" permeate the work creating a new beginning.
