Step into a multi-sensory experience designed to nourish the soul and ignite your creativity.
Join former artists-in-residence Mari and Red for an intimate, two-hour session exploring
ritual, sound, scent, and visual storytelling.
We’ll begin with the warmth and hospitality of a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, grounding us in culture and intention. Let the aromas prepare you for a restorative sound bath led by Mari, inviting deep presence and calm. As the senses awaken, Mari and Red will share the stories behind their collage practices—featuring works made from old photography prints and ephemera—and the power of reimagining discarded materials into art.
Then it’s your turn: participants will be guided through their own hands-on collage-making session, with time and space to explore personal narratives through cut, paste, and play. Please bring your old test prints or photo scraps, but don’t worry—we’ll have extra supplies available.
Schedule:
1:00–1:15 PM – Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony with Red
1:15–1:30 PM – Sound Bath with Mari
1:30–1:45 PM – Incense & Artist Talk: Collage as Ritual
1:45–3:00 PM – Collage-Making Workshop
We encourage guests to stay for the entire experience to fully engage each sensory layer. RSVP is required, as space is limited. Please only sign up if you plan to attend the full session, so we can ensure space for those eager to participate in the whole journey.
Let your senses lead the way—we can’t wait to create with you.
