Every summer, Photoworks introduces photography to young teenagers from low-income families through its partnership with Horizons at Maret, a summer enrichment program for students in the Adams Morgan neighborhood in the District of Columbia.
Through its annual Young Photographers Exhibition, Photoworks encourages middle and high school students from area public and private schools, as well as students in the Photoworks programs, to show their work in a juried exhibition.
Our annual lecture series, featuring prominent local and national photographers, provides an intimate venue for dialogue about the changing world of photography. These events are open to the public and free of charge.
"Coffee and Critique" sessions led by Photoworks faculty are held monthly for student and working photographers shooting in film or digital media. These events are open to the public and free of charge.
