Book Club Reads Steiglitz and White

Two master photographers will be the focus of upcoming meetings of the Photoworks Book Club, which convenes at Photoworks on scheduled Sundays from 12:30 to 2:00pm. On March 7 participants are invited to gather information and bring in books about Alfred Steiglitz for a conversation about this seminal artist’s images, his marriage to Georgia O’ Keefe, and contributions to the medium of photography. The April 18 session will focus on a single, assigned book, The Moment of Seeing: Minor White at The California School of Fine Arts by Stephanie Comer. The subject of the May 30 session will be announced — keep posted by watching the Photoworks website.
The Photoworks Book Club was launched in September 2009. Each meeting focuses on a different master photographer, with participants reading a single book or pooling their impressions from reading different books. It’s a great way to deepen your knowledge and share insights with other photography enthusiasts. The Photoworks Book Club meets approximately every six weeks. Join us!
